While on the trail of Portugues yarn, ecomodista discovered a wonderful boutique, ComCor, near Avenida da Liberdad where jewellery from Valentim Quaresma, clothing from Ricard Preto, and shoes from Susana Traça, who now works out of Milan, may be found. Another young Poruguese designer, Ana Romero, now in NYC, produces chic leather goods also available at ComCor. Founded 5 years ago by Francisca Maltez, an architect, to reflect here interests in contemporary design and culture from midcentury furnitures to clothing and graffiti, making her boutique a target for fashionistas.
